What if I choose to love
And you love me not?
Dare I trust?

What if I pursue you
And am left behind?
Dare I risk?

What if I dream of you
And wake alone?
Dare I sleep?

What if I now give in
And fall for you?
Dare I not?

If I love alone,
I will still love deeply.
If I chase in vain,
I will still run my best.
If I wake lonely,
I will still dream at peace.
If I fall in love,
